The centrality of the body, the identity between the physical body and the pictorial body, the excavation of a hard, broken, harsh poetry within the very historical root of representation. Nicola Samorì's work presents itself as a rare case of neurotically savoured modernity based on a robust sense of belonging to the great history of painting. Well aware, that there is no art without a profound formal quality.
